Yes, that’s right – it’s the day you’ve all been waiting for! Super Saturday is here for 2020 and it’s come earlier than usual, but we don’t mind when a bumper feast of Eurovision lies ahead of us!

But what shows can we expect to see tonight? There are no less than NINE shows across Europe on Saturday 8th February, with three songs and four artists to be decided, so let us guide #YOU through Super Saturday 2020 and help make up your mind what to watch…

🇦🇺 AUSTRALIA – Eurovision: Australia Decides Final (10:30 CET)

An early start for most Eurovision fans in Europe, as Australia pick their sixth participant for the contest in Gold Coast on Saturday evening (AEST). Once again, ten acts are taking part in the competition;

  1. iOTA – Life
  2. Jordan-Ravi – Pushing Stars
  3. Jaguar Jonze – Rabbit Hole
  4. Jack Vidgen – I Am King I Am Queen
  5. Vanessa Amorosi – Lessons of Love
  6. Diana Rouvas – Can We Make Heaven
  7. Mitch Tambo – Together
  8. Casey Donovan – Proud
  9. Montaigne – Don’t Break Me
  10. Didirri – Raw Stuff

With the jury show having taken place last night, the televote will be held tonight and the combined score will decide Australia’s artist for Rotterdam.

🇮🇸 ICELAND – Söngvakeppnin Semi-Final 1 (20:45 CET)

Iceland kick off their selection show Söngvakeppnin tonight, hoping to build on the top ten placing and return to the Eurovision final brought to them by Hatari in Tel Aviv.

Five acts will compete in the first semi-final;

  • Brynja Mary – Augun þín
  • DIMMA – Almyrkvi
  • Elísabet – Elta þig
  • Ísold & Helga – Klukkan tifar
  • Kid Isak – Ævintýri

A combination of jury and televoting will decide which two acts advance to the final on 29th February.

🇮🇹 ITALY – Festival di Sanremo Final Night (20:45 CET)

The famous Festival di Sanremo concludes on Saturday night, with a total of 24 competing artists in the Big category who could take the Sanremo crown. This year, RAI has asked artists to clearly indicate their Eurovision intentions ahead of the contest, with 16 of these 24 confirming they would go to Rotterdam if chosen, however it is unclear which acts these are.

Notable names in the list include Raphael Gualazzi, the first Italian representative since their modern-day return to the contest in 2011, and Francesco Gabbani who became a fan favourite in Kyiv in 2017, ultimately finishing 6th with “Occidentali’s Karma”.

The participants are;

  • Anastasio – Rosso di rabbia

  • Diodato – Fai rumore

🇱🇻 LATVIA – Supernova Final (20:25 CET)

Latvia decide their 21st entrant to Eurovision tonight, with the single-show Supernova taking place in Riga. While a panel will provide feedback during the show, a combination of internet and televoting alone will decide the Latvian representative for Rotterdam.

The nine acts competing in Supernova 2020 are;

  3. Katrīna Bindere – I Will Break Your Heart
  4. Edgars Kreilis – Tridymite
  5. Katrīna Dimanta – Heart Beats

🇱🇹 LITHUANIA – “Pabandom iš Naujo!” Semi-Final 2 (20:00 CET)

Lithuania’s long-running national selection reaches its penultimate stage tonight as the last four finalists will be chosen from the eight remaining songs. Monika Marija is a notable returnee from previous years, but who will join Aistė Pilvelytė, The Roop, KaYra and Rūta Loop in next weekend’s final?

🇲🇹 MALTA – The X Factor Final (20:50 CET)

Malta’s X Factor comes to a close tonight as we will learn which artists will represent the Mediterranean island nation in Rotterdam. All eyes will likely be on former Junior Eurovision winner Destiny, but could there be a surprise in store in Malta tonight?

The four remaining acts are;

  • Destiny Chukunyere
  • Justine Shorfid
  • F.A.I.T.H.

🇳🇴 NORWAY – Melodi Grand Prix Semi-Final 5 (19:50 CET)

Northern Norway gets their turn tonight as the final four semi-finalists play out their performances in Fornebu, ahead of next weekend’s grand final. Only one more act can make the Melodi Grand Prix final, but who will it be?

The four acts competing are;

  • Elin & The Woods – We Are As One
  • Jenny Jenssen – Mr. Hello
  • Kevin Boine – Stem på mæ
  • Liza Vassilieva – I Am Gay

🇸🇪 SWEDEN – Melodifestivalen Semi-Final 2 (20:00 CET)

Melfest rolls into Sweden’s third rotating Eurovision host city Gothenburg tonight, with some familiar names taking part in the semi-final. Anna Bergendahl returns after last year’s efforts and hopes to return to Eurovision a decade after her surprise non-qualification in Oslo, while Méndez, Dotter and Linda Bengtzing all return to the Melodifestivalen stage.

Tonight’s seven participants are;

  1. Klara Hammarström – Nobody
  2. Jan Johansen – Miraklernas tid
  3. Dotter – Bulletproof
  4. Méndez ft. Alvaro Estrella – Vamos amigos
  5. Linda Bengtzing – Alla mina sorger

As usual, two acts will go direct to the final, with two more reaching the andra chansen stage.

🇺🇦 UKRAINE – Vidbir Semi-Final 1 (18:00 CET)

Vidbir 2020 kicks off tonight, as Ukraine’s return to Eurovision looks to put them back on the straight and narrow after a turbulent few years since their victory back in Stockholm in 2016. Could any of tonight’s eight participants be a saviour for the Eastern European nation in Rotterdam and put them back in the top ten?

The eight participants are;

  2. Jerry Heil – Vegan
  3. Katya Chilly – Pich
  4. Krutь – 99
  5. Go-A – Solovey
  6. Cloudless – Drown Me Down

Three songs will qualify for the Vidbir final on 22nd February.
