Today Lithuania completed the fourth show in their Eurovision national final and decided half of the line-up for the Pabandom is Naujo final on February 12th. According to a tweet by Gebrasy earlier this week, the semi-final performances were pre-tapped ahead of today’s broadcast on January 24th – likely to reduce the number of people on set and to prevent COVID related delays in production. Next week’s semi-final has also been taped already, and will be aired next Saturday.

The semi-final lasted for only one and a half hours, making it a quick show altogether. Nine artists took to the stage, all vying for a spot in the final and a chance to go to Eurovision. The running order for tonight’s show was:

  1. Queens of Roses – “Washing Machine
  2. Elonas Pokanevič – “Someday
  3. Emilijana – “Illuminate
  4. Joseph June – “Deadly
  5. Erica Jennings – “Back to Myself
  6. Justė Kraujelytė – “How to Get My Life Back
  7. Gebrasy – “Into Your Arms
  8. Gintarė Korsakaitė – “Fantasy Eyes
  9. Lolita Zero – “Not Your Mother

Some artists made changes to their performance following the heats – with Erica Jennings and Queens of Roses opting not to use dancers in the semi-final round. Gebrasy changed the LED designs and camera work to create a more intimate performance, and Emilijana was sporting a brand new outfit. All other changes from the artists were rather subtle.

The results from Semi-final One

After the performances and several comments from the jury, the results were announced. A massive shock occurred when Erica Jennings who tied for the jury 12 points in heat 1 only got 6 points during tonights semi-final. The jury 12 points would go to Justė Kraujelytė with Gebrasy just behind her and Lolita Zero in third.

To no surprise to the audience, Lolita Zero once again stormed the televote, earning a total of 2,281 televotes on the night. Justė Kraujelytė would come in second earning 799 votes from the public, and Gebrasy was third with 715 total televotes. Despite coming seventh with the jury, Queens of Roses can fourth with the public and qualified for the final due to the public’s support.

This means that Justė Kraujelytė, Lolita Zero, Gebrasy, and Queens of Roses will advance to the final and will compete against the four qualifiers from the second semi-final next weekend.
