Yes, we’ve reached that time of year once again! It’s a very merry FiKmas from Albania, hoping to bring some Eurovision light to the end of a dark year with Festivali i Këngës 59. In Tirana, the show must go on!

Tonight will see the first semi-final show of this year’s selection show with the 25 participants performing their entries for the first time. Unfortunately, Manjola Nallbani and her entry “Ora e jetës” has had to withdraw from this year’s competition having contracted COVID-19.

The remaining participants in this year’s Festivali i Këngës, shown in tonight’s draw order, are;

  2. Orgesa Zaimi – Valixhja e kujtimeve
  3. Festina Mejzini – Kush je ti dashuri
  4. Franc Koruni – E morën botën
  5. Inis Neziri – Pendesë
  6. Sardi Strugaj – Kam me t’ba me kajt
  7. Gjergj Kaçinari – Më jep jetë
  8. Mirud – Nëse vdes
  9. Evi Reçi – Tjerr
  10. Rosela Gjylbegu – Vashëzo
  11. Kastro Zizo – Vallja e jetës
  12. Klint Çollaku – Do t’ja dal
  13. Anxhela Peristeri – Karma
  14. Wendi Mancaku – Si ajo
  15. Fatos Shabani – Ty
  16. Florent Abrashi – Vajzë
  17. Enxhi Nasufi – Njësoj
  18. Kamela Islamaj – Kujtimet s’kanë formë
  19. Era Rusi – Zjarri im
  20. Erik Lloshi – Jo
  21. Xhesika Polo – Më mbron
  22. Giliola Haveriku – E lirë

The second semi-final show tomorrow evening will see all participants perform acoustic versions of their entries. Both of the shows’ performances have been pre-recorded due to the ongoing pandemic. Actress Jonida Vokshi and TV presenter Blendi Salaj will host all of this year’s shows of Festivali i Këngës.
