Lithuania’s Prabandom iš naujo national selection process began tonight with the first ten finalists selected from the full group of thirty contenders (you can catch up with the full broadcast here).
Fifteen acts performed in front of a live studio audience with Rūta MUR placing first after the voting with the most public and jury votes with their retro dance song, “So Low”. The final vote broke down as follows with the top ten advancing to the semi-final rounds:

- Gabrielius Vagelis, “Šauksmas”: 16 points (6 jury, 10 public)
- Alen Chicco, “Do You”: 15 points (8 jury, 7 public)
- Justė Kraujelytė, “Need More Fun”: 13 points (10 jury, 3 public)
- Paulina Paukštaitytė, “Let Me Think About Me”: 12 points (7 jury, 5 public)
- Noy, “Destiny’s Child”: 12 points (4 jury, 8 public)
- Il Senso, “Sparnai”: 8 points (2 jury, 6 public)
- Joseph June, “Vacuum”: 6 points (2 jury, 4 public)
- Baiba, “When the Lights Go Out”: 5 points (5 jury, 0 public)
- Luknė, “Paradise”: 3 points (3 jury, 0 public)
- Aistė Pilvelytė, “We’re Not Running”: 2 points (2 jury, 0 public)
- Justa Rubežiūtė, “When I’ll Find”: 2 points (0 jury, 2 public)
- Multiks, “London”: 1 point (0 jury, 1 public)

The remaining 15 hopefuls will be on stage Saturday, January 28th for the second heat. Two more weeks of semi-finals will determine the top contenders who will battle it out in the national grand final on February 18th. Best of luck to everyone competing – we’ll be watching!
