It’s Day Two and the excitement is only growing! Eurovision 2019’s journey continued with the first rehearsal of the second group of eight songs from the first semi final. Every day, escYOUnited, your favourite Eurovision site, will be bringing you a roundup of the day’s events to make sure #YOU don’t miss a thing!
The eight countries performing today were as follow, with links to the official ESC snippets below!
Belgium: Eliot – Wake Up
Georgia: Oto Nemsadze – “Keep on Going”
Australia: Kate Miller-Heidke – “Zero Gravity”
Iceland: Hatari – “Hatrið mun sigra”
Estonia: Victor Crone – “Storm”
Portugal: Conan Osiris – “Telemóveis”
Greece: Katerine Duska – “Better Love”
San Marino: Serhat – “Say Na Na Na”
The daily ESCXTRA press poll of 35 members of the Eurovision press gave Australia their highest score, some way ahead of Greece and Iceland in joint second place.
Based on the odds, there are no surprises at the top, with Australia, Iceland and Greece all strong favourites for qualification. What is surprising is that Estonia came bottom, behind San Marino and Georgia, two songs which are certainly NOT seen as likely qualifiers! It certainly seems that there will be a lot of competition for the final few qualification spots based on today’s rehearsals.
If you want to catch up with the action as it happened, Matt and the team were in the Press Centre all day on camera!
Outside of the arena, it seems that at least one of today’s artists has found some time to explore the delights of Tel Aviv…
