As is tradition for the Eurovision Song Contest, each country selects a spokesperson to represent their country at the final and reveal the coveted “douze points” from their country’s jury.
These spokespersons will announce the results either live from a TV studio, or on occasion will opt to announce them in front of a live crowd.
With the contest just over two weeks away, a total of seven countries have revealed who will serve as their spokesperson for Malmo. They are as follows:
- Azerbaijan – Aysel Teymurzadeh (Eurovision 2009 participant, finished in 3rd place)
- Belgium – Livia Dushkoff (TV and radio host at RTBF)
- Georgia – Sopho Khalvashi (First ever Georgian participant at Eurovision 2007)
- Luxembourg – Désirée Nosbusch (Host of Eurovision 1984 and 2024 Luxembourg NF)
- Slovenia – Lorella Flego (TV presenter four time spokesperson for Slovenia)
- Spain – Soraya Arnelas (Eurovision 2009 participant)
- Switzerland – Jennifer Bosshard (TV presenter at Swiss Radio and Television SRF)
It is highly likely that more spokespersons will be revealed in the coming days as we approach rehearsals, and it would be no surprise to see a few familiar faces from Eurovision 2023 among the list.
Last year five artists from the 2022 contest were tapped by their broadcasters to appear as a spokespersons for their country.
