Serhat, representative of San Marino in Eurovision Song Contest 2016 visited Montenegro. At the special press conference organised by RTCG, Serhat talked about his Eurovision plans and obligations, and also presented his Eurovision entry ‘I Didn’t Know’.
Serhat, a singer with Turkish descent, explained how it came to cooperation between him and San Marino.
San Marino showed me a honor. Last year, my hit in French language made it to Top listes of UK, Germany and many European countries, and my manager Marko got an invitation for representing San Marino at Eurovision Song Contenst. I was very thankful for their choice.
His Eurovision presentation Serhat consider as a big obligation, as he will fly San Marinese and Turkish flag.
That’s double obligation. I consider a great liability as I got a support from many Turkish singers and people of that (mine) country.
He doesn’t hide his ambition.
I am going to win. Everything depends on live performances. By now, we only have a songs and official videos. Everyone who competite want to win – that’s unwritten rule.
He added that he really like boys from Highway and supports them!
I do not like copy-paste music. This boys are original and new. It is really brave to show something new to Eurovision publicity. They didn’t give up on their own style – I really like it!
He very liked the people of Montenegro and this country.
Peoples make country special. Everyone is so generous here. I am here for the first time, but I feel like I am home.
As a reminder, both of them will perform at the first Semi-Final of the Contest at 10th of May.
