SMRTV, the Sammarinese broadcaster, has revealed the participants for the December auditions of Una Voce per San Marino 2023 which consists of 55 hopeful artists to represent San Marino. The second round of auditions will take place on December 5-8, 2022 and will be held at auditorium Little Tony di Serraville.
Here’s the list of artists that will undergo the second round of auditions.
A notable artist on the list is Nicole Hammett. She participated in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song “A Lover’s Heart” and managed to get 8th place in the final.
During the casting round, a jury will select at least 60 artists or more who will then proceed to the next round which are the five semi-finals in February 2023. There are four semi-final shows, whereas one semi-final is allotted for artists from San Marino. The fifth semi-final is the second chance round. During the semi-finals, 20 artists will be chosen for the Grand Final. This year, there is no Established Artist section and no one will be invited directly to the finals but they can be invited to participate directly to the Semi-Finals or the casting round.
The Grand Final of Una Voce per San Marino is set to be held on Teatro Nuovo in Dogana on February 25, 2023. The winner will be chosen by a five-person jury in which two of them are chosen by SMRTV, one will be chosen by Segretaria di Siato, and two that will be chosen by the production company.
The applications to take part in the selection is open until January 20, 2023.
Achille Lauro won Una Voce per San Marino 2022 with his song “Stripper” and represented San Marino in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy. He placed 14th with 50 points in the 2nd semi-final, failing to qualify for the grand final.
