Tonight the Irish people picked their entry for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmo. The results are in and Ryan Dolan will be flying the Irish flag with the song “Only Love Survives”.
Earlier this week our readers were able to vote for their favorite Irish NF song and Ryan won the poll by a landslide so based on that, the majority of our readers should be quite happy with the outcome. Check our Poll results HERE.

Before I heard the song and just saw what people wrote, I expected something similar to my favourite Irish songs like MILLENIUM OF LOVE and EVERY SONG IS A CRY FOR LOVE. This song is not similar but it is good enough and at least another male singer. Hope he survives the semi finals

I liked Aimee myself better and she definitely would have received a good amount of support from the juries but Ryan was the obvious choice so I can’t complain….well I can but I’ll try not to.

Happy to see Ryan win. I think it was the song with the most potential. I just hope he tones the voice down a bit…that’s my major complaint was his high pitched voice.
I’m not convinced Aimee would have qualified. Especially when there’s quite a lot of ballads in our semi.

Noooooooooooo, I wanted Aimee. No Final for Ireland, I’m almost certain about that.

Congrats, Ryan! Best song of the evening!
Maybe not the best one on ESC stage though… however, best of luck!
