Obviously Eurovision fans will read into anything when it comes to speculation, but it seems that the latest rumour taking off regarding France may have some substance behind it. Outlets such as wiwibloggs and many fans on Twitter have picked up on a recent release in France from Sasha, a 17-year old from Paris entitled “Alive”.
The bilingual lyrics and the 3 minute timeframe would normally be enough for fans to consider it as a potential Eurovision entry but, curiously, both the French head of delegation Edoardo Grassi and director of entertainment of France 2 Nathalia André have taken to social media to display their affection for the new release.

Edoardo has also tagged Nathalie in his tweet and she has retweeted his affectations. So perhaps there is substance in this rumour? As of now there has been no official confirmation on when or how the French entry would be revealed but it is confirmed to be via an internal selection.
