These 667 songs are competing for four spots in Festival da Canção 2023 as part of the open call to all performers. The other sixteen songs will constitute songs by composers who received a direct invitation from the broadcaster.

The number of entries reveals a continued interest in the contest for the second year in a row with more than 600 songs submitted.

RTP has not yet announced the dates for the selection.
