Last year’s Eurovision Song Contest host, Portugal, has organized the final of the Festival da Canção. After 2 semi-finals, 8 finalists competed in today’s shows which were :
- Calema – A Dois
- Mariana Bragada – Mar doce
- Matay – Perfeito
- Surma – Pugna
- NBC – Igual a ti
- Madrepaz – Mundo a mudar
- Conan Osiris – Telemoveis
- Ana Claudia – Incercia
Today’s show was hosted by Filomena Cautela, whom was one of the host of last year’s Eurovision Song Contest, together with Vasco Palmeirim, a radio host. Winner was selected by 50% Jury and 50% Televote.
The top 3 entries from the jury were :
- Conan Osiris – Telemoveis. – 80 points converted to 12 points
- NBC – Igual a ti – 54 points converted to 10 points
- Surma – Pugna – 46 points converted to 8 points
The top 3 entries from the televote were :
- Conan Osiris – Telemoveis. – 12 points
- Matay – Perfeito – 10 points
- NBC – Igual a ti – 8 points
Total votes combined :-
- Conan Osiris – Telemoveis – 24 points
- NBC – Igual a ti – 18 points
- Matay – Perfeito – 17 points
- Madrepaz – Mundo a mudar – 13 points
- Surma – Pugna – 12 points
- Calema – A Dois – 11 points
- Mariana Bragada – Mar doce – 8 points
- Ana Claudia – Incercia – 8 points
Winning both the jury and the televoting Conan Osiris will represtent Portugal with his entry Telemoveis. Portugal will perform in the second half of the first semi-final.
