The past few days have been very prominent when it comes to Junior Eurovision, and today was no exception. After Albania, and The Netherlands hosted their local finals, today it was time for Poland to do the exact same, and decide who would be the lucky one to travel to Nice, later this year.
Eurowizja Junior 2023 – Szansa na Sukces
It has become a tradition by now, and there is no reason to even doubt it. Once again, Poland and their represented broadcaster (TVP), decided to make use of the local show, Szansa na Sukces, in order to decide who would represent the country in Nice, France.
The show has been used to select the Junior representative of Poland every year since 2019, and in the 4 edition so far it has been used, it has produced some positive results, which include top 10 results every single year, as well as a winner and a runner-up position at the junior competition. It was even used once as well, to select the Polish representative for the Eurovision Song Contest, back in 2020.
In the prior weeks, before today’s national final, 5 finalists were overall picked, whom all competed today. The jury and the televote would then pick two superfinalists among the 5 finalists, where the overall winner would be solely decided by the televote.
Skipping ahead to the superfinal, it consisted of Leon Olek (who won the jury vote)and Maja Krzyżewska (who won the televote), who both would perform the song “I Just Need A Friend“, which will be the Polish entry this year. Both young singers performed the song in the superfinal, and here it was the public the decided that Maja Krzyżewska would be the one, to represent Poland later this year, at Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
