We might not know the full list of participants for the upcoming contest yet, but we do know that a solid amount of countries do intend to participate in Yerevan, Armenia this upcoming December. Poland is one of those countries, and very soon, we will know who will represent the country.

Szansa Na Sukces 2022 – Junior Eurovision – Semi-final 3

Format has remained the same, throughout each semi-final, a total of 7 contestants have participated with one winner being announced as the finalists for each semi-final (Except during semi-final 1, where 2 finalists were picked). Each show has had a theme to them, and in this last and final semi-final, the theme was “hits of the Eurovision Song Contest”.

Clearly a very broad topic, which allowed the 7 participants to choose freely from by now, almost 2000 songs. As can be seen below, most of the contestants did go for the more modern hits, with 3 picks being from Sweden, but some of them did also go with hits that are by now, decades old.

These were the following 7 contestants that competed in the last semi-final of Szansa Na Sukces, song and year listed as well:

  1. Kinga Kipigroch – Euphoria (Sweden 2012)
  2. Julia Kowalska – Arcade (The Netherlands 2019)
  3. Ida Wargskog – If I Were Sorry (Sweden 2016)
  4. Beniamin Nowacki – Fairytale (Norway 2009)
  5. Aleksander Szwarnowiecki – Waterloo (Sweden 1974)
  6. Antonina Kraszewska – Save Your Kisses For Me (United Kingdom 1976)
  7. Alicja Smyk – Light Me Up (Poland 2018)

Despite most contestants went for a former Eurovision winning song, it was Ida Wargskog who managed to impress her way to the final, with her rendition of “If I Were Sorry“. The juries were fully in charge of picking the winner, with the jury consisting of the following four members:

  • Ala Tracz (JESC Poland 2020)
  • Michał Wiśniewski (Part of Ich Troje – ESC 2003 & 2006)
  • Ida Nowakowska (Host of JESC ’19 & ’20)
  • Marek Sierocki (Polish JESC commentator)

With all of that in mind, the final of Szansa Na Sukces will take place on the 25th of September 2022, and air on TVP channel 2, at 15:10 Polish time. The show will last one hour and will feature all 4 finalists, who each will perform another cover and an original song. The winner will represent Poland in Yerevan, later this year.
