Lithuania’s Prabandom iš naujo national selection process continued tonight with the first of two semi-final rounds. Ten finalists from the first two heats sang, danced, and sparkled in front of a live audience for a chance to represent Lithuania in Liverpool (the full broadcast from LRT is here).
Rūta MUR again placed first after the voting with the second most public and jury votes. The jury awarded Petunija‘s piano ballad, “Love of My Life” 12 points, and the public awarded their top points to vocal group Il Senso and their genre-blending “Sparnai”.
The final vote tally is as follows with the top five advancing to the national final:
- Rūta MUR , “So Low“: 20 points (10 jury, 10 public)
- Petunija, “Love of My Life“: 19 points (12 jury, 7 public)
- Il Senso, “Sparnai“: 17 points (5 jury, 12 public)
- Gabrielius Vagelis, “Šauksmas“: 15 points (7 jury, 8 public)
- Justė Kraujelytė, “Need More Fun“: 11 points (8 jury, 3 public)
- Alen Chicco, “Do You“: 8 points (6 jury, 2 public)
- Joseph June, “Vacuum“: 8 points (4 jury, 4 public)
- Donata, “Dreamer“: 7 points (2 jury, 5 public)
- Noy, “Destiny’s Child“: 7 points (1 jury, 6 public)
- Baiba, “When the Lights Go Out“: 5 points (4 jury, 1 public)
The remaining semi-finalists will perform Saturday, February 11th. The national final will air on Saturday, February 18th.
