The Spanish OGAE club is hosting the 8th annual congress at the Sants Teatre del Centre in Barcelona. Next Saturday the 5th of October 2013 the ESC fan club welcomes several alumnis of the Eurovision Song Contest.
Birgitta Haukdal represented Iceland at the 2003 Eurovision Song Contest in Latvia finishing 9th. She is one of the confirmed acts to perform that night in front of hundreds of dedicated fans of the most popular music event in the world. Birgitta also took part in the Icelandic National Final in 2013.
Ott Lepland represented Estonia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan with his powerful ballad “Kuula”. With his impressive vocals he managed to finish 6th.
Serbia won the contest in 2007 and Jelena Tomasevic had the honor to represent her country on home soil the following year with the song “Oro”, written by Eurovision veteran Zeljko Joksimovic. She was able to impress the televoters and was awarded with a 6th place.
Pastora Soler brought Spain back to its former glory finishing in the Top 10 with her ballad “Quedate conmigo” at the ESC in Baku, Azerbaijan last year.
In addition, Sarah Dawn Finer will join the line-up. She is a Melodifestivalen participant and known to the International fans as the fictional EBU spokesperson “Lynda Woodruff”. She also performed the Abba song “The winner takes it all” during the Finale of the ESC 2013 in Malmo, Sweden.
