As more days as passing by, more votes are slowly revealed from the OGAE clubs around the world, we’ve now received the votes from both Spain and Croatia. Now that one of the hard pulling countries have revealed their votes, how far is the push back?
Results from Spain
This is a big one, with votes from 442 members from Spain, the votes put together have awarded points to the following countries:
- Croatia ๐ญ๐ท โ 12 points
- Italy ๐ฎ๐น โ 10 points
- France ๐ซ๐ท – 8 points
- United Kingdom ๐ฌ๐ง – 7 points
- Sweden ๐ธ๐ช – 6 points
- Belgium ๐ง๐ช โ 5 points
- Switzerland ๐จ๐ญ โ 4 points
- Austria ๐ฆ๐น โ 3 points
- Greece ๐ฌ๐ท – 2 points
- Lithuania ๐ฑ๐น โ 1 point
A prideful 7 points given to the United Kingdom, which now officially has added the country onto this year’s scoreboard.
Results from Croatia
From the most votes by a country, to the least. Only 23 members from Croatia made the following decision:
- Switzerland ๐จ๐ญ โ 12 points
- Belgium ๐ง๐ช โ 10 points
- Israel ๐ฎ๐ฑ – 8 points
- Slovenia ๐ธ๐ฎ – 6 points
- France ๐ซ๐ท – 5 points
- Cyprus ๐จ๐พ – 4 points
- Lithuaniaย ๐ฑ๐น โ 3 points
- Ukraineย ๐บ๐ฆ โ 2 points
- Denmark ๐ฉ๐ฐ – 1 point
Despite the fewer voters, appreciation is sent to Slovenia, Cyprus & Denmark for the first time during the voting, who all have just scored their first points.
We’re now at 5 countries who have revealed their votes, and a total of 983 members who have taken part in the vote. We’re far away from calling a winner, but it would appear that a clear top 4 is emerging from the votes, since only 5 points separate the 4 countries. The current top 5 still contains the same five countries, but let’s have a look at it for now either way:
- Belgium ๐ง๐ช โ 43 points
- Italyย ๐ฎ๐นย โ 40 points
- Croatia ๐ญ๐ท โ 40 points
- Switzerland ๐จ๐ญ โ 38 points
- Austria ๐ฆ๐น โ 23 points
As we can see, Belgium has now taken over as the new leader after the votes from both Spain and Croatia. It would be noteworthy that Italy failed to score a single point from Croatia. The rest of the top 10 includes France, Greece, Ukraine, Lithuania and Spain, who all currently have double digit scores, everyone else with points outside the top 10, are yet to cross into double digits.
On the bright side as well, 19 countries have now earned points, which means that most songs of this year’s competition, are on the scoreboard. 18 countries are still yet to gain any points.
