OGAE Members – Special event access and discounts, Final chance to sign up

With the line-up of songs complete and the heads of delegation meeting in Malmo, preparations for the 2013 ESC are now entering their final phase.

The organisers have promised to make the weeks in May one of the best ESC fan experiences ever. They are not quite ready to make their plans public but we hope that there will be a formal announcement in the not too distant future.

From our discussions with our colleagues in OGAE Sweden, it is clear that our OGAE International membership cards will be the key to accessing a number of events and to obtaining discounts during ESC weeks. The 2013 stickers are currently being distributed along with any new or replacement cards that were ordered at the start of the year. However, we have received a number of card requests for members who have joined since the last card deadline or who are in need of a replacement.

We would like to make every effort to accommodate these requests, but we can only organise an additional card production run ahead of May if we have a sufficient number of requests to make it economically viable. The cost for these cards and stickers in terms of OGAE Rest of the world will be dealt with in conjunction with our new membership policy which should be ready in the next weeks.

Please contact your OGAE club if you require a new card, emphasising that the card will probably be very useful in Malmo. We will need to know as soon as possible if you are planning on obtaining a membership card. We will then need you to submit the relevant photos and details by 13 April 2013 at the absolute latest. Please keep in mind that ESC United is home of OGAE Rest of the World so if you have a separate club for your country, you’ll need to contact them directly. In the event that we do not have sufficient requests to justify another production run, we will come up with an alternative arrangement to ensure members can take advantage of the possibilities available in Malmo. However, we will still need any new ID photos submitted by the 15 April deadline. We will not be able to assist members who request a card after this date.
