In a new group of editorials taking a look at the past and present of Junior Eurovision Song Contest entrants, we will be checking out what the former JESC contestants are up to now and how far they have come since representing their nation in the Junior edition of Europe’s favourite TV show.
In this edition we will be taking a look at the 2005 representative of Romania, Alina Eremia, who represented her nation with the song “Țurai” in Hasselt, Belgium.
Alina became a fan favourite with her pop song mixed with traditional elements, although ended 5th on the night out of 16 participating songs.
Since 2005 Alina has embarked on a number of projects, such as being the voice of Pocahontas in the Romanian version of the film with the same title, as well as the second version of the film, Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World. In 2010 she was also asked to be the voice of Belle in the Romanian version of Beauty and the Beast, including Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas and Beauty and the Beast: Belle’s Magical World.
More recently she has starred in a number of TV shows, including the Romanian version of Dancing with the Stars and Pariu cu viața amongst others.
Alina has not given up on her music career and is still producing hits in her homeland. Let’s take a look at her 2005 JESC entry and see what he has been up to more recently with her 2014 song “Cum se Face”
