Norway’s national broadcaster (NRK) are continuing their search, and tonight saw another 7 acts compete in tonight’s second semi-final. Only 3 of them can join the already 3 qualified acts from last week’s semi-final.

Melodi Grand Prix 2023 – Semi-final 2

Once again, tonight saw another seven songs take the stage, in order to compete for the votes of the public, in order to make it to the grand final of Melodi Grand Prix, which is taking place on the 4th of February.

These were the seven who competed tonight: (In order of performance)

  1. Jone – “Ekko Inni Meg”
  2. Sandra Lyng – “Drøm D Bort”
  3. Alejandro Fuentes – “Fuego”
  4. Swing’it – “Prohibition”
  5. Elsie Bay – “Love You In A Dream”
  6. Ella A – “Waist”
  7. Bjørn Olav Edvardsen – “Turn Off My Heart”

Results

The decision on the qualifiers was the same as last week, with the public having full control of the outcome. Viewers could freely vote for their favorite through the official NRK portals, such as QR scanning, or voting on the official website.

Results of the second semi-final of MGP 2023

The acts would be called out on whether they would’ve qualified or not, starting with Swing’it who were announced as the first qualifiers of the night, eventually Jone was also called out as the qualifier and finally with only one spot left, it was given to Elsie Bay.

With that, the three qualifiers of tonight will now compete against the three qualifiers of last week, which was Ulrikke, Alessandra Mele and Umami Tsunami. The last 3 finalists will be decided next week.
