The Charm The Fury, a heavy metal band from Amsterdam in the Netherlands have said in an interview with Hit The Floor Magazine that they want to represent the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015.

Formed in 2010, the band are led by vocalist Caroline Westendorp and have a distinctly heavy sound compared to more symphonic Dutch bands like Within Temptation or Epica. They recently performed at the famous Download Festival in the UK and are beginning to gain more recognition within the metal community and beyond.

TROS has not yet announced how the Dutch entry for 2015 will be selected but it seems likely an internal selection by the broadcaster will take place.

Netherlands finished as runners-up in the contest in 2014, with The Common Linnets’ “Calm After The Storm” finishing with 238 points, behind winner Conchita Wurst.
