We haven’t heard much about Montenegro’s entry since they announced 2015’s first artist, Nenad Knežević (Knez). But now it appears that there’s a lot to be excited for; Željko Joksimović has been enlisted to write the Montenegrin entry and will write his fifth Eurovision song in 2015.
Joksimović has taken part himself in the Eurovision Song Contest twice for Serbia, finishing second in 2004 with “Lane moje” when representing Serbia and Montenegro and third in 2012 for the independent nation with “Nije ljubav stvar”. He also wrote “Lejla” for Hari Mata Hari in 2006 who finished third for Bosnia and Herzegovina and “Oro” for Jelena Tomašević who came 6th for Serbia on home soil in 2008.
His fifth song will be performed by Knez in the contest after he was the first artist chosen for 2015.
Perhaps we will see Montenegro’s best performance in Vienna? Only time will tell!
