Singers and songwriters had to apply separately in the first round of the national selection. This was done to find the best singer and song for the International audience. This is a unique and somewhat controversial approach but nevertheless the 24 Finalists have been chosen. Now these Finalists can choose between the 60 songs selected by a professional jury.
