After an open selection for young singers in Georgia to apply to represent Georgia in the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, the panel have now made their decision and the representative of Georgia for Valletta has been revealed.
Mariam Mamadashvili has been chosen to represent her nation in the Maltese capital for this year’s Junior Eurovision, The song will be written by Miriam herself alongside Giorgi Kukhianidze, a Georgian composer. The song is expected in the coming weeks.
The panel who decided that Miriam was the best choice for Georgia were:
- Rusudan Bakhtadze (Vocal Coach)
- Nato Dumbadze (Producer)
- Zaza Orashvili (Director)
- Nika Kocharov (Singer who represented Georgia in the 2016 Eurovision)
- Lizi Pop (Singer who represented Georgia in the 2014 Junior Eurovision)
