It’s the chaotic twins, known shortly by their initials M&M (not affiliated with the candy), who’s the good one, who’s the bad one or is any of them even good to begin with? Of course we’re talking about Marcus & Martinus who this year will represent Sweden on home soil, despite them being Norwegian. We had a quick chat with them in Malmö, and decided to hear what they are up to.

It might have been a shorter than expected interview, but the chaotic duo still managed to leave quite the fun impression in our interview, giving us a quick ASMR treatment, a bit of switch talking and just spreading some of those good vibes.

We also get to learn what else the boys might be into, when it comes to music outside the Eurovision-bubble and what their goal is for representing Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Sweden winning last year is the reason why the contest is now taking place in Malmö. Loreen‘s victory meant that she became only the second ever singer to win the contest twice, and also tied Sweden has the most winning nation in the competition. Sweden has scored 4 of their total 7 victories in the past 25 years.

About Marcus & Matinus

The duo go by their names, but were born as Marcus Gunnarsen and Martinus Gunnarsen, and hail from Elverum, Norway. Since they are twins, they were both born on the 21st of February 2002.

Their start in the music business came when they were only about 10 years old, when they took part in the Junior edition of Melodi Grand Prix, in 2012. They won the competition and has since been living the musical dream, despite that, they are trying to overcome the idea and memory that the locals have of them, as children superstars.

It’s been to a few albums since their childhood days, as well as a few tours and nominations, and they are slowly but steadily getting their idea out to the public, that these sweet young twins are now grown up men.

The duo even had large goals, as they tried to represent Sweden at the contest, as soon as last year. Believing that Melodifestivalen was the next big step to a greater career. As we all know by now, that didn’t come to reality, as they finished 2nd last year with their song “Air“, but now instead, they will be on the big stage this time with “Unforgettable” in the coming days!

Are #YOU enjoying the shenanigans of the twins and can #YOU see them making THE history for Sweden?
