After six shows and 40 contestants, Malta has chosen their representative for the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool. The Busker won the national final on February 11th with the song “Dance(Our Own Party)“, winning the 50/50 jury and public vote with a total of 121 points.
The final featured 16 artists who previously competed in the quarter finals and semi-finals:

- Christian Arding – “Eku Ċar”
- Ian – “On My Own”
- Stefan – “Heartbreaker”
- Giada – “I Depend on You”
- Nathan – “Creeping Walls”
- Maxine Pace – “Alone”
- Eliana Gomez Blanco – “Guess What”
- The Busker – “Dance (Our Own Party)”
- Geo Debono – “The Mirror”
- Brooke – “Checkmate”
- Chris Grech – “Indescribable”
- Fabrizio Faniello – “Try To Be Better”
- Ryan Hili – “In the Silence”
- Dan – “It’ll Be Ok”
- Cheryl Balzan – “La La Land”
The Busker will be joining 37 acts in Liverpool this May. This will be Malta’s 32nd year competing in the Eurovision Song Contest. Malta failed to qualify in the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest in Turin with Emma Muskat’s song I Am What I Am, which ranked 16th in the second semi-final with 47 points.
