2018 Australia Breaking News Latest News Netherlands Reviews Lisbon LIVE – Netherlands and Australia reviews (Day 3) By Sean Tarbuck Posted on May 1, 2018 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr The last two countries to rehearse on the Lisbon stage were the Netherlands and Australia. Did #YOU miss out on what Waylon and Jessica Mauboy brought to us from the Altice Arena? Well fear not, as you can catch up on our live stream and check out quick reviews of the performances below. We will be back tomorrow with the final batch of semi-finalist first rehearsals so make sure not to miss it! 🇳🇱 NETHERLANDS – Waylon – Outlaw in ‘Em The Dutch entry’s performance this year kicks off with a great first shot as Waylon and his backing musicians/dancers face the back of the stage, before slowly turning around to the panning camera. The stage is lit up in blue and the performers stand on a tiered lighting rig. After the first chorus the dancers begin to ‘crump’, a form of body popping that is certainly rarely used in the Eurovision environment! All of the dancers eventually move to the front of the stage as Waylon continues to perform before cartwheeling and performing acrobatics along the catwalk at the front of the stage. 🇦🇺 AUSTRALIA – Jessica Mauboy – We Got Love Australia take us to a darker place with their performance this year as Jessica brings the nightclub to the Altice Arena! She is alone on stage in a purple prom-type dress ahead of a wing-shaoed lighting rig. However, she certainly doesn’t show that she feels alone as she rocks the energy required for this upbeat track. I can see her feeding off of the energy from the fans in front of her, but at the moment I can see why some say it is a little flat. The stage lights up in various colours during the sing to create a dynamic performance. What did #YOU think of the performances today?
