Latvia’s returning Eurovision artist Samanta Tīna has this morning released the music video for her new song “Tikai Romāns”, although it is understood the song is not in contention for Eurovision 2021.
The dramatic pop ballad, meaning “Only a Novel”, was written in 2019 and sharing the meaning of the song, Samanta Tīna spoke to Latvian morning show “Rīta Panorāma”; “I think we have each experienced a situation in our lives where we meet someone and it seems to us – this is the real, only person! But then the reality comes, your eyes open, and you realize that on the other hand it was just a novel or a passion.”
The video sees Samanta perform the song in a decadent setting with a royal banquet and numerous female dancers at various intervals.

Samanta Tīna will represent Latvia in 2021 after initially being chosen by the Latvian public for Eurovision 2020. It is not currently known when the Eurovision song will be released or how it will be chosen.
