Just weeks before Eurovision 2022, the representatives of Ukraine this year gave a press conference where they provided some information regarding financial aspects of their trip and how their outfits would look on stage in Italy.
Oleh Psyuk, who is the front singer of the band, mentioned that he would be wearing a hat for sure. Further, there would be blue-and-yellow aspects of the staging, but only in limited amount. Outfits would be somewhat different, probably around 50% different from what we had seen before.
The stage director of the performance, Oleksiy Zembrovskyi, mentioned that the aim was not just to visualize the song but importantly to show the energy of the song. Further to that, he added that they needed to make changes a couple of times to the performance in order to meet the apolitical criteria of Eurovision.
International financial support
The head of Ukrainian delegation, Oksana Skibinska, also revealed that the band would be able to compete due to financial support of Suspilne broadcaster and also there would be assistance from international partners. She has also added that it would be difficult to provide any financial numbers as of this moment due to the ongoing preparation.
It worth mentioning that the band will be on the stage tomorrow, specifically on 30th April. Ukraine will be competing in the first semi-final on May 10th, with the final of the contest taking place on 14th of May.
