Junior Eurovision 2023 heroes

France Télévisions has just unveiled the very first trailer of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023. It reveals the slogan “Heroes” which promises a very epic contest in Nice.

On November 26, Nice will host the 21st Junior Eurovision Song Contest. And ahead of the event, we now have the very first trailer called “Heroes” — spoiler alert, this has nothing to do with Måns Zelmerlöw’s Eurovision 2015 winning song “Heroes”.

In the two-minute video published on the official YouTube channel today, we see a very epic montage of former JESC participants and some phrases on screen, such as “The spirit of magic is coming back to France”. But we’re not going to Paris this time, as the destination is set to the costal city of Nice!

The video features beautiful videos of the sunny host city and invites all of us to come on board for the most amazing adventure. And at the very end, we get the official slogan for this year’s Junior Eurovision: “Heroes”. A very epic theme that is very different from the 2021 Junior Eurovision theme “Imagine”, which featured a magical Christmas vibe in La Seine Musicale.

As a reminder, the 2023 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Palais Nikaïa, a venue that can host up to 9,000 people. Palais Nikaïa is bigger than La Seine Musicale where was held the 2021 Junior Eurovision.

The logo is yet to be revealed, but we might get it during the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 which is happening right now in Liverpool!

11 participating countries so far

To this day, 11 countries have already confirmed their participation to this year’s Junior Eurovision in Nice:

  • Armenia 🇦🇲
  • France 🇫🇷
  • Georgia 🇬🇪
  • Germany 🇩🇪
  • Ireland 🇮🇪
  • Malta 🇲🇹
  • Netherlands 🇳🇱
  • North Macedonia 🇲🇰
