Italy’s Festival di Sanremo was the inspiration for the Eurovision Song Contest and is perhaps one of the best known national selection shows for Eurovision. And tonight, the 22 acts that will be competing in the big artists section were announced.
The list includes Francesco Gabbani, who won the newcomers section of last year’s festival, and Sanremo veteran Chiara who previously competed in 2013 and 2015 – most recently with her song Straordinario.
