Söngvakeppnin 2018 started today in Iceland, with 3 qualifiers making it to the national selection’s Grand Final on March 3rd. The six songs that performed were:

1. Þórunn Antonía – “Ég mun skína”

2. Tómas & Sólborg – “Ég og Þu”

3. Ari Ólafsson – “Heim”

4. Heimilistónar – “Kúst og fæjó”

5. Fókus – “Aldrei gefast upp”

6. Guðmundur Þórarinsson – “Litir”

Tonight’s finalists were:

  • Fókus hópurinn – Aldrei gefast upp
  • Ari Ólafsson – Heim
  • Heimilistónar – Kúst og fæjó

Next week, the remaining 6 artists will compete, and 3 of them will make it to the final. Next week we shall see:

  1. Aron Hannes – “Golddigger”
  2. Áttan – “Hér með þér”
  3. Dagur Sigurðsson – “Í stormi”
  4. Stefanía, Agnes & Regína – “Svaka stuð”
  5. Þórir & Gyða – “Brosa”
