The BBC have, today, confirmed participation for the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest to us here at escunited.com!
BBC will once again organise the United Kingdom’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, although, no decisions have been announced as to whether they will once again opt for an internal selection or they will revert back to the national final process.
In correspondence with escunited.com, the BBC have stated that they are reviewing the process and they are planning on making an announcement in late summer.
Since 2011 the BBC have selected the song and act to represent the country internally, although after a run of disappointing results in the world’s favourite song contest, the BBC could return to giving the public a say as to who represents them in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Electro Velvet represented the United Kingdom in Vienna last month and gained five points ending in 24th place with thier song “Still in Love with You”.

The United Kingdom is NOT an Island – it’s an archipelago. It’s a number of countries united as a single Kingdom. Whilst it does include the island of Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), it also includes Northern Ireland and many of the surrounding islands that lie in the Shetlands, the Orkneys, the Isles of Scilly and upto a thousand other islands.
