Following news that Norwegian national final entrant Freddy Kalas would be allowed to compete despite plagiarism with his song, NRK has today confirmed that the singer will perform “Feel Da Rush”, a rewritten version of his original entry.

Kalas, real name Fredrik Auke, had one day to re-write the chorus which was alleged to be too similar to one of his previous compositions, with the new result particularly pleasing NRK. Jan Fredrik Karlsen, general producer of Melodi Grand Prix, said;

Yesterday Freddy was tasked with writing a new chorus to the song in one day, and he has done. We’ve got an even better chorus and there was great jubilation when we heard the song “Feel Da Rush”

“Feel Da Rush” has been produced and written by Broiler, Trond Opsahl, Christoffer Holmes and Freddy Kalas and will compete alongside nine other songs in the February 27th final.

Should Freddy have had a second chance?
