Rumours have been circulating recently with regards to the Greek representative for the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest. Today it has been reported in the Greek media and OGAE Greece that the representative will be the band, Europond.
The band is reasonably unknown, which may come as a shock when looking at the recent Greek singers. The band consists of seven members, which will be shortened due to Eurovision rules. Another rumour circulating is the one that suggests the lyrics will be about refugees and the migrant crisis. So all and all the choice may be a rather controversial one.
As yet, there has been no comment from the Greek national broadcaster, although, with OGAE reporting the news, it seems like it could only be a matter of time before we have confirmation from ERT.
