Last year the Greek campaign in Eurovision appeared to be in peril. With the worry of not having a broadcaster in time for Eurovision it seemed that Greece wouldn’t take part in Copenhagen. Of course, the country was still present, albeit achieving one of their worst results yet.

We’re happy to report there is no such worry this year as the Greek broadcaster NERIT has confirmed it will take part in the 60th contest in Austria. The format that will select the entry has not yet been decided but it seems likely that the sponsored NF used in the last few years will be a viable option once again. Nevertheless, the format of the selection process will be decided by the broadcaster in due course.

Greece is the 22nd country to confirm participation next year. The country was represented by Freaky Fortune and Riskykidd in 2014, who finished 20th with “Rise Up”.
