Germany: Michael Schulte wins national selection

Germany’s national selection Unser Lied für Lissabon has just finished, and now the result is clear for the country – Michael Schulte will fly the German flag in May!

After a tense voting sequence which saw the three segments of points given out in ascending order, it became clear at the end when he received maximum points from the televote, professional jury and Eurovision jury.

Xavier Darcy finished second with “Jonah” and 25 points. Schulte will perform the emotive “You Let Me Walk Alone” in Lisbon.
