After last night’s Sanremo final, which saw Stadio win the competition, the entrant for Italy in Eurovision 2016 has been decided. As the group declined the invitation due to a clash with their touring schedule, RAI has now confirmed that runner-up Francesca Michielin will sing for Italy in Stockholm.
X Factor winner Michielin sang “Nessun grado di separazione” (No degree of separation) at the Sanremo Festival 2016 but it will be confirmed in the coming days by RAI and the EBU whether this song or another will go to Stockholm.
