YOUR wildcard 2014 - the song YOU'd send to the final

Hi folks,

today I wanna know from you, if YOU had the possibility to send ONE song directly to the final, which would that be?
It should be a song that is not prequalified - and it should be a song that is not a favourite (ie Sweden, Hungary, Armenia...) yet

It should be a song of which YOU think it is totally underrated OR a song of which you think that the country/singer has finally deserved it OR a song that is special and you know it would never be chosen by the audience/jury.

(Note: it hasn't necessarily to be your favourite song or the one you like most!)

I start and I've chosen MALTA. It's not my favourite but it's in my top10 and I'm not sure if it has a realistic chance to get to the final. I like that happy melody song, it makes me smile and I think the band is quite charming!

It is on my top 10, not my favourite. Despite it being in a favourable position in the running order, I'm still worried about its chances. I think its memorable song (especially the round and round part) Other reasons would be that it took a lot to get Slovenia to stay this year, and another failure might just result in them withdrawing completely. That is why they would be my wildcard.

Definitely Belarus for me. :by: A fun and quirky song with no chance of qualifying, and also the first example of Belarus actually trying

:fi: I simple love this song. It should be in the final because we don't have any rock entries and what Eurovision needs is variety. We can't send only pop songs or worse - disney ballads to the final...

I'd give mine to :sm: but then again, I would like Valentina to win over the public as opposed to being given a free pass.

It would be a travesty for Valentina to end up last because she got a free pass and didn't get through on the actual song.

Yeah, in a way that would be even worse. I doubt she would end up last though as that place is usually reserved for a pop song. The jury would hopefully push her a little bit. I still think she has just as much a chance to reach the final as she did last year anyway despite the lack of hype.

:sl: or :ch: or :md: , but of course the latter country being only once not qualified, i won't doubt their qualification this year :D

:pl: first of all.

I think it will do great in the televoting but the juries will kill the song. In the best case they will put them 9th but they must really hate the else songs. So probably 1-4 in televoting and 10-13 in the jury. But it's my fave this year and I won't be pleased with less than 3rd place so :pl: STF

:sm:

It hasn't got almost any allies or blocks. It's not abig or world famous country also. But the most years it sends some amazing songs and always fail to qualify. I hope this year be lucky for Valentina and be in the final. I know that the juries might help a bit but the televoting will vote massive for its block so I must protect San Marino

:ch:

Also a country without a block or at least a powerfull one. Also an underrated country but this year the people seems to love this entry. It willb be the opposite from last year. Juries will flop it and televoting will put it in the top 10 for sure. But in any case that it won't qualify I have to protect ut cause I want them in the final.

:md:

I hope that they will have help from the ex-USSR block but it is a clear non-jury song. They maybe even put it last. But Cristina is a great singer so maybe there are chances for the final.

:sl:

Well I think that as 2011 the juries will help :sl: but the televoting will be missing a lot. From the other hand there are only 3 Balkan countries so maybe :me: will help them (:mk: maybe in the final). But it's not as strong as "No One" was to be for sure in the final. So I think I have to protect :sl: from the fail.

:me:

I'm pretty sure that the juries will help there but Montenegro isn't a strong country and without the Balkan block it maybe unfortunately flop.

Well if I could I would pass all of them in the final but if I have to chose one it is :pl: for sure

Also :mk: will need protect and :lt:

They will both do great in the televoting but they are also non-jury songs so they also need the wildcard

:at:
Many see Conchita as a complete idiot, and therefore, many people in countries such as Russia and Belarus will not vote for her, due to LGBT laws. Jury may help her, but qualification is not 100% assured.
:il:
An early running draw for Mei, as well as an aggressive song early on in the semi may hinder her chances of qualification. Televote may help her.
:pl:
Juries will no doubt place this low. Televote will place it in top ~5 in the semi, which will bring it to mid-field. Qualification at around 50%. This will either flop completely, or be a top 10 song.
:sm:
As many others above stated, I wouldn't like Valentina to come last in her first final, simply because of a wildcard. This song has the potential to qualify.
:nl:
Possibly a much too relaxed song for Eurovision, The Netherlands hasn't had a great track record. Simply because of this, I've chosen it as a wildcard.
:al:
One of the greatest songs this year. Televote will undoubtedly shatter Hersi's hopes of a top 10 result.
:md:
No explanation needed.
:ch:
Same case with Netherlands, Switzerland hasn't been the greatest country in the contest. The song itself is a masterpiece though.
:sl:
Good lyrics, great tune, fantastic voice. But, it's SLOVENIA. Slovenia has only qualified a handful of times since its debut.
