This is a topic about voices. You may like the voice but not like the song, and vice versa. ;)

Malta and Slovenia have the strongest female voices, but I don't like their timbre and manner of singing.
So...

My top-5 of female voices:
1. :be:
2. :gr:
3. :fr:
4. :lv:
5. :az:
(6) :hr: (the song does not allow the voice to open, but it seems strong)

My top-5 of male voices:
1. :ch: (but I am not sure after live)
2. :it:
3. :at:
4. :ge:
5. :nl:

This is really interesting! 5 of the singers are in my top 10, but also 5 of them are really low in my ranking like Slovenia, Malta, The Netherlands, North Macedonia and Czech Republic. But who knows how my ranking will look like after the first rehearsals or the performances!

My top-5 of female voices:
1. :fr:
2. :al:
3. :mt:
4. :sl:
5. :lv:

My top-5 of male voices:

2. :nl:

Best female voices:

1.:fr: Barbara not only possesses vocal power but an extraordinary theatrical interpretation.
2.:mt: A powerful voice but at the same time full of black undertones. It is a pleasure to listen to this singer.
3.:sl:,:al:,:lv: All three are on the same level. Probably, from the vocal point of view, these three singers are superior to Barbara and Destiny but they do not possess the interpretative ability of the French singer and the nuances of the Maltese singer. Furthermore, their songs are weaker than those of France and Malta.
4.:be: If we were to reward the "softer" voice, similar to a caress and able to envelop you like a sweet halo ... the Belgian singer would be the best.
5.:ie: Great vocals but, for me, it's ... too powerful. The voice of the Irish singer is "power without control". Does it depend on the song she sings? Maybe.

Best male voices:

1.:it: A real stage animal. His voice does not come from his throat but from his soul. When the voice blends with the essence of the singer.
2.:ch: The Swiss singer has a great vocality. However, for me his greatest talent lies in the fact that he manages to give a "special and recognizable timbre" to his voice, a strong personality. The defects? Only one: in my opinion, he is too static. The singer fails to make his "stage presence" be at the same level as the vocal rehearsal.
3.:mk: For me the North Macedonian singer is on the same level as Barbara Pravi. He is the best vocally and from the point of view of interpretation. The problem is that his weak song only stands thanks to his talent. Without the "substance" you are not going anywhere.
4.:es: Is the North Macedonian singer on the same level as Barbara Pravi? The Spanish singer is on the same level as the Hooverphonic singer. He has "the most delicate voice" and caressing of all. For me, the Spanish song is a little underrated but still ... it doesn't measure up to the best.
5.:at: Vincent has a great voice but, for me, he is unable to modulate it properly, to give his voice the "right nuances". Moreover, the stage presence is noticeable only when desperately shouts "Amen". Honorable fifth position.

Best female
1. :sl: (it's a waste here for this dull song)
2. :il: (the vocal range!)
3 :al: (Anxhela has a remarkable vocal control)
4 :mt: (fantastic belting & timbre)
5 :fr: (clean singing, great interpretative ability)

Honorary mention: Latvia - Samanta has a lot of power, but I am not much into the way she is using it.

Best male
1 :it:
2 :ch:
3 :mk: (again - great voice but such a bad song, but one can definitely notice his vocal skills in it)
4 :ge:
5 :at:

Ok I already gave a glimpse of it in another thread 😅
Again I'm not appealing to objectivity, it's just what I value the most.

So female:
1. Croatia :hr: - I just love her voice!! I watched her The Voice appearances also when she won Dora, and omg.. especially "Lovely"... to me the guy is competely overshadowed. It's all about her. It seems to be a common theme lolz. I also love Australia's The Voice cover of this song (Zeek and Lara), but the girl also competely overshadows the guy :D I wish they picked more equal opponents lol. Anyways, one word - Looove.
2. Bulgaria :bg: - it's actually close with my 1st place (if not the same). Victoria's live concert was just sooooo enjoyable, I cut her singing parts from it and downloaded all the songs because I just loved them.. now I prefer listening to her live singing tracks more than her studio audio's :D
3. Serbia :rs: - Sanja in particular - I loved "Shelter" also.. powerful and strong voice :)
4. Albania :al: - also very strong, powerful Woman's voice with big W :)
5. Slovenia :sl: - her voice is undeniably goood, it carries the whole song for me. Confident voice.
Malta is also close, though I don't enjoy her voice 100% of the time.

Male... this is way harder for me because I don't feel like the level is very strong. Anyways..
1. Switzerland... :ch: - I mean there's no doubt.
2. Norway  - very good strong voice. Love it.
3. Iceland's Dadi :is: - deep, clear... like it
4. North Macedonia :mk: - mostly based on his last year's effort, loved that song. This year on the other hand... I can't listen to it (because of the song). But his voice is firm as a rock (in "You").
5. Georgia :ge: - although I could only hear kinda old live singing videos from him, he's voice seems to be powerful, but I also don't like it 100% of time as it's sometimes too screaming for me, like last year's song was big no no, this year's is more listenable.
Also Estonia (not very strong live, but good enough and there's power an emotion, he gives his all), Spain (don't like his tone though, otherwise A+) and UK could be in 5th place.

I also discovered her in The Voice, it was not a battle but a duo, so beautiful *-*

This is totally separate to how good I consider their song to be. I think some of the best voices this year have been wasted on bland and weak songs.

Top 5 Female:

:fr: France – Barbara Pravi
:mt: Malta – Destiny Chuknunyere
:sl: Slovenia – Ana Soklič
:gr Albania – Stefania Liberakakis
:il: Israel – Eden Alene

Top 5 Male:
:it: Italy – Damiano David
:mk: North Macedonia – Vasil Garvanliev
:ch: Switzerland – Gjon Muharremaj
:es: Estonia – Uku Suviste
:sw: Sweden – Tousin Michael Chiza

I just felt like referring to the singers by their full names this time.
