I struggled a bit to make a top ten list this year. I know people keep saying that 2023 is a very strong year but I really don't feel that at all. To me this is a very weak year where Lithuania and Latvia are the only songs that sparked any kind of passion within me.

When it comes to the favourits I have no possible way of looking at Sweden objectively therefor I will leave it out. I say this though, I don't care much for Loreens music over all but I can acknowledge the fact that she is an exceptional performer and a very skilled vocalist and a super nice and down to earth person. As far as Finland goes I think we in the northern realm has a bit of a differnt relation to this genre of music. To me it sounds soooo Finnish and there has been way better Finnish songs within this genre over the years that has failed to qualify through UMK, I'm not impressed with this one. To me there are three genres that is the super Finnish way to go, either it's heavy metal, tango, or it's this type of electronic euro techno dance beats and it feels so predictable.

Surprisingly Albania entered my top5 and Czech performance wasn't very convincing but still Czechia went higher in my rank. Azerbaijan and Latvia would be 9th and 10th.

it's based on combination of song, presentation, feeling, vocals etc... some are stronger in other aspect and some in another, but the live performance decides
anyways imo it was a weak year, I kind of really like only 5 songs and even these not so much but just because others are even weaker... I hope next year is stronger
also shout out to which is one of my favourite songs this year as R&B is like my favourite genre, but the live I dont like so much
