I'm sure others have noticed that there's an unusual amount of songs that break with ordinary song structure this year. Either they don't have the typical verse-chorus format, or the verse and chorus are not constructed in the usual way, such as the verse being louder than the chorus, or them having wildly different length.
So far we have Albania and Latvia as the strongest examples, with Belgium, Finland, and Malta being of the latter described type.
Clearly the reason is the success of "Teresa & Maria" along with the winner "The Code" last year, as well as Greece's "Zari". "Doomsday Blue" and "Jako" were also kind of unconventional, though they did have a clear verse and chorus.
So what do you think? Yeah, i'm not sure what the discussion is supposed to be about here, it's just something i noticed.
