Welcome to the Scottish Green Room (Seòmar Uaine Albannach), home of all things Scots. This region covers basically the north of the UK, from Dumfries and Galloway and Scottish Borders to the northeastern islands of Orkney and Shetland. One of the original regions existing from the very first edition of WV, Scotland has participated 124 times under eight different jurors, garnering their victories in WV2 (Amy McDonald's "Pride" under theditz83), WV70 (Calum Martin ft. Isobel Ann Martin's
"An Iolaire" under daniels1000), and WV97 (Secret Garden ft. Karen Matheson's "Greenwaves" under Gera11).
Meet Eulaliya
Returning from an 18-edition break, Eulaliya first joined WV way back in WV68, charming the audience with the former ESC Maltese entrant Debbie Scerri with "Holma". Her WV career has seen a hodgepodge of variety here and there across different regions in Europe and Asia (including her homeland the Philippines) and eventually settling within the UK. From homegrown gems like Asin's "Itanong mo sa mga bata", long rollercoaster auditory experiences like Mike Oldfield's "Ommadawn (Part 1)" to danceable hits like Tina Cousins' "Pray" and Chicane's "Saltwater", Eulaliya never disappoints with variety. She has won three times so far - WV84 with Wales together with her dear friend Lupus (Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart"), WV112 with Belgium (Tamino's "Habibi"), and WV140 with London (Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody").
Outside of WV, Eulaliya is a university student studying Hospitality Management at a large private university in Sub-Saharan Mindanao in the Philippines. She spends her free time reading and writing fanfiction, as well as occasionally drawing.
This Edition
Our entry this edition was going to be a gem from either Orkney or Shetland, but due to low demand, the selection will be pushed back to next edition or later. Now four eighties gems are presented with the goal of representing Scotland in this edition's WV...
