They have not said anything negative until today, if they would withdraw, why should've waited for months? I think they will take part. I believe, I hope, I want.

I think the whole Euro-2012 was a pretext for them to withdraw so I think they'll miss out again. Hope not!

It was, but the performance didn't help much as she was offkey (+ the draw killed any chances)

I can't explain why I say this but I believe that if all the countries from last year plus Armenia, in total 43 countries, then Poland will participate again. But if Greece or Portugal for example withdraw, then they won't be back. I wish for a record of 44 countries although!

Hmm, so you mean Poland will be a bandwagon jumper then?

I totally wish for the the 44-record however! That'd be really cool!

They'll be back. You'd think that if they weren't coming back that they would already have announced it. So on that logic, yes, they'll be back. And hopefully they'll go alright. Their songs are much better than where they have finished up in the rankings.

I hope you're right, but they sorta did the same thing last year (waited until the last minute to announce withdrawal), so one can never be too sure xshrug... but I also think that what's the point in waiting if they don't plan to stay anyways?

I voted for "no". It's almost december and no news, not a word from TVP... it's very late to call for NF and honestly it's beyond my imagination that they could successfully negotiate with a star or at least... a "star" So I guess that's "it".
It's sad but there's nothing we can do... I mean open letters, formal questions, pleas to KRRiT to do sth - nothing worked, nothing moved them so... :(

No comeback in 2013
No live broadcast of the semi finals and the Final

After a long and thorough analysis of all the arguments for and against, the board of TVP has decided not to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2013, to be held in Malmö. In addition, TVP will not broadcast live the semi finals nor the Final of the Contest.

Marcin Perzyna, chief agent of Polsat TV said that Eurovision focuses more on the show, and not the music, and that there is the “phenomenon” of voting for your neighbouring countries. He also adds that on the other hand, Eurovision is the best chance to promote Polish artists abroad, but that they haven’t had any success in doing that.

Poland entered Eurovision in 1994 for the very first time, when they finished second, which is their best result to date. They took part every year, withdrawing this year. TVP justified the withdrawal with focusing all the funds towards the European Championship in football which was held in Poland and Ukraine. TVP’s spokesperson did not give reasons for this decision of the Management Board of TVP.
