Great opener and fab graphics. xheart Love the little gingerbread house in my banner. xheat

There is one little error though. My entry is called Wild Eyes not The Greatest.

Is this a sign I should take up juggling?
Well... You're more than welcome in the club of jugglers! 😉😄

When I tried this, at first I realized that it's more difficult, than it looks  But then, after few hours of practice, I managed to learn to juggle 3 balls, and at this point it started to feel like it turns out on it's own 😁🤹‍♂️

Just sent my votes for both semis, so as promised, here's the tour of... Me. :)

Semi 1:
Computer Gaming: I haven't done it in a few years now, due to lack of time (I haven't had as much time off after the pandemic hit as I'd like), but I have thousands of hours in front of the computer over the years, playing mostly racing video games. Started when I was 8, and it's been giving me a lot of joy over the years. :D For more details on this, check the post I made for the Videogame spinoff in my Balearica Island thread in December. :)

Vehicle Models: I think I'm supposed to grow out of this, but I don't. I still think die cast models of cars are pretty cool, but the older version of me treats them nicer than what I did as a kid. They don't go airborne a lot anymore... :p

Watching Films: I don't do this nearly as much as I'd like, but if there's a new movie I wanna spend money on, then I go to the cinema, and not to Netflix. Movies are best on the big screen. Also a nice escape from real life sometimes. :)

Beatboxing: Not a personal hobby, but I think beatboxers are among the coolest people on the planet. The sounds they can make blow my mind sometimes.

Dancing: For me, it's more "raving" tbh, but when the music is right, I'm often sweating it out on the dancefloor. But I don't do anything that requires learning any kind of choreography. That requires thinking or focusing, and I just wanna get lost in the music. xheart

Collecting Coins: I started doing this when I was a kid, then sort of grew out of it because it started becoming too expensive, and I couldn't afford it. I had other things to spend the little money I had on. But a few years ago, after I started attending auctions, I picked it up again. Unlike the student version of myself, I can now afford to pay for coins (and notes), and I do. Probably more than I should tbh... But it's fun, and fits nicely with my interest in geography. :) I also collect other things (comics, CDs, Coca-Cola merch, Disney merch, and a few other things), but at least the coins don't take up that much space, which is another upside. :p

Semi 2:
Mini Golf: Used to do this on summer holidays when I was a kid. I'm utter rubbish with a regular golf club, can't even hit the ball, but mini golf is actually pretty fun. Haven't done it in a long time tho, because after I became an adult, I usually travel alone, and mini golf works best with someone to play with.

Cartography: I don't make maps, but I can spend hours just looking at maps. There are so many amazing spots around the world, and a lot of interesting roads going all over the world. Google Maps is an awesome invention, it feels like I have the whole world right in front of me at any given time. I love it. :D

Reading Books: I don't really read any regular books. But comic books, that's a different story. I learned to read thru the Donald Duck magazine, and at the age of 38, I'm still a huge Donald Duck fan. I've broadened my horizons a bit tho, I don't only read about what's going on in Duckburg anymore, I read a lot of other comics too, and I have a pretty big comics collection (I think I'm in the top 50 in Norway, but I'll know for sure when I've updated my Danish and Swedish comics on the Scandinavian comics database). :D

PQs:
Linguistics: I'm awful when it comes to grammar, so I don't really attempt to learn new languages properly, but I think languages are fun, and I pick up some words occasionally. Especially Russian, as knowing some extremely basic Russian words make my job a bit easier, and seem to make the day better for the eastern European truck drivers that barely speak a single word of English. I also speak almost perfect Swedish (at least good enough to make Swedish people think I'm a Swede, altho I think the pandemic has weakened my skills lately, I've been lacking practice), I understand quite a bit of German (but can't form a proper sentence on my own), and also understand some Dutch. Maybe surprising to some, given where I come from, but I'm completely useless at spoken Danish, I can't understand it at all (and I think the Danes would struggle with my rather unusual dialect from the Norwegian north-west too). Written Danish is easy tho, it's basically just old-fashioned Norwegian. I think I can also often imitate the pronunciation of languages I don't know, even tho I have no clue what anything means, and I got a rare applause from my class in high school when reading a text in Faroese (hard to say if someone from the Faroe Islands would approve tho, but it sounded Faroese to Norwegians at least). :D

::bal - Cake Decorating: Figured I'd mention this too, since it's on my banner. It's not my thing, I barely like eating cake. Chocolate cakes are an exception tho. :p But, I've seen what people can do with cake, and the art they make is pretty amazing. :)

Thank youuuuu for writing all this, I loooove reading about others' hobbies 😍

Sameeeee about gaming, can't afford to play a lot lately 😅😅 But played a lot until like uni. But now I like to watch let's plays on YT sometimes

Ahaha so trueeee about treating poor little cars as a kid 😅 Thank you for mentioning them, now I'm more sure it can be an actual adult hobbie, not just my fantasy

I like movies, but I don't follow for new ones like at all, and almost don't watch movies alone. But would gladly do so with someone, or if someone left TV on and it begun

Yasssss, I am amazed by beatboxers too!

Interesting with dancing to me. I never can feel relaxed when I dance spontaneously, especially among people. I feel like I'm doing such weird and awful moves, that everyone would either laugh at me or just look strangely. And vice versa, when I know some moves and I know they fit the song - I feel much more confident 💪🏻 Actually same principle works when I'm talking 😅😅

I've never really collected coins that seriously, but I stored some dollars, euros, belarusian rubles in my moneybank 😄 And when I moved to Yerevan, I liked so much local Armenian coins and notes, so that's probably the reason I included that hobby here 😛

I've never played golf, and I've never seen actually golf in Russia. So I don't even know how I got the idea about such hobbie, but I just thought it would be cute to include indoors "office" golf. Maybe it's not what actually "mini golf" means, because I googled and saw more outdoors golf courses, but still... 🤫

Cartography was my passion in school years 😍😍 That's actually one of the hobbies that caused me making up Svobodnia! And back then I especially liked to see how borders of different countries have changed over time! And yes, I agree about Google Maps too! Sometimes I can found myself wandering in unseen places on the map

Wow, a collection of comics! I didn't read a lot of comics throughout my life, but I used to buy some magazines to read while traveling on train, and I liked them so much! I remember Garfield ones especially

Aaaaand it's not an accident I put linguistics on Svobodnian banner, because more and more I notice that I love learning something new about languages and it turns out pretty well! 😍 My friends were surprised when I learned Armenian alphabet and some words just in few days  But ofc it doesn't mean I can speak languages perfectly, and I'm sure I did a lot of mistakes in this post. But it means that I really have a lot of interest about languages. And also I really like to find out roots of words. I mean, ethymology. And finding common roots in several languages - that's such a kind of pleasure for me! 👄
Wow, would never guess Russian words are useful in your job. And good job, you seem to have quite an experience in speaking (or imitating ) and understanding a number of languages! 👏🏻👏🏻

And last but not least! Okay, when I was making banners, I matched hobbies and nations very intuitively. And as I can see, for some I guessed very well, and for some not at all  But at least maybe it's an opportunity to just pay attention to something that you didn't really notice before 😉
Okay, idk if I managed to tell the idea
But if we talk about cakes, I'm especially shocked by some bloggers who make such realistic cakes that look like everything! Apples, soap, handbag, own arm, even own head! That's just crazy and so impressive! 😵🔥

Np. I figured I'd take the opportunity to let people get to know me a bit better. :)

Oh, don't worry, it's definitely not just for kids. The smaller ones (like Matchbox, Majorette, and Siku) are definitely intended for kids, but then you have the older models that have gotten rare over the years, and are now collectibles. And some of them can get pretty expensive. The bigger ones are more expensive by default, and probably intended for older kids/youth. Usually not meant to be played with, they often come attached to a plastic plate or something, they're meant as decoration. But imo, they should be played with too, they have working wheels for a reason. :p I mentioned going to auctions, and there are often model cars for sale there, and they also often get pretty expensive, like similar to the price in stores, or higher. There's a guy in his 70s there who tends to buy almost every model car up for auction, and he doesn't seem to care much about the prices, which is frustrating at times. :p So model cars are definitely a hobby for adults as well. :)

I know the feeling. I always party sober, which means I am aware of my surroundings, so I kinda need two things to be able to really get going on the dancefloor. 1 - the music needs to be right, and 2 - I need someone else on the dancefloor as well. A few weeks ago I was at a nice event with trance, hardstyle, house, drum & bass and psy, but there weren't a lot of people there, so there was plenty of room on the dancefloor for most of the day. I was the only one on it for a while too, and it felt like I had the full attention of every single person in the room. I probably didn't, but that's how it felt. As soon as someone else joined, it was easier, as I had someone to share the spotlight with. For the one hour of psytrance tho, I decided to just pretend I was the only one there, because I can't stand still when listening to psytrance, but the DJ's girlfriend was also there, and for most of that hour, it was just the two of us dancing. It was fun tho. :D I'm aware I might look strange tho, but at my age (jeez, that makes me sound really old), I've stopped caring. I just call it "Mortystyle", and I have fun with it. :D

I'd say the office golf is a light version of mini golf, because mini golf usually has several holes, just like a regular golf course. Regular mini golf can be played indoors as well tho, it might be more common outdoors, but I've seen indoor courses too. :) Not sure I'd call it a hobby tho, I think regular golf would be more of a hobby, but it's a nice activity. :)

Wow, a collection of comics! I didn't read a lot of comics throughout my life, but I used to buy some magazines to read while traveling on train, and I liked them so much! I remember Garfield ones especially
Yeah, some of us just never stopped reading comics. ;) I've read some Garfield too, he's called Pusur in Norway. :)

Aaaaand it's not an accident I put linguistics on Svobodnian banner, because more and more I notice that I love learning something new about languages and it turns out pretty well! 😍 My friends were surprised when I learned Armenian alphabet and some words just in few days
I figured you picked something you like for your own banner, yeah. ;) Gotta say tho, the Armenian alphabet looks really difficult, most of the letters look the same.

Wow, would never guess Russian words are useful in your job. And good job, you seem to have quite an experience in speaking (or imitating ) and understanding a number of languages! 👏🏻👏🏻
I think anyone dealing with foreign truck drivers in Europe could benefit from knowing a tiny bit of Russian (and Polish, but most of the Polish words I know are swear words for some reason). There's a LOT of eastern European truck drivers, and altho they usually come from different ex-Soviet countries, they are often 50+, and have never learned anything other than Russian (the younger drivers are often more familiar with English tho). I feel sorry for them, it must be so tricky to spend nearly all their time working in countries where they can't communicate with people, so I try to make the day better for at least some of them. I've also tried to learn the Russian alphabet. There are still a few letters I struggle with, especially those that don't have a specific Latin counterpart, but I spend less time figuring out what the words are than I used to, so I'm going in the right direction. :)

But if we talk about cakes, I'm especially shocked by some bloggers who make such realistic cakes that look like everything! Apples, soap, handbag, own arm, even own head! That's just crazy and so impressive! 😵🔥
Yeah, that's exactly what I meant. Incredible stuff. :D

@randajad Take note, I'm gonna make Pyreica the host of a world-popular fashion show xheat
For real though, it's not something I would think about with my nation, but on a personal level, I'm really happy with the choice. I'm far from a fashionista, I know nothing about style and whatnot, but I always love watching fashion shows

Oh and yeah, I'm gonna vote. I just came back from a business trip so it wasn't ideal.
