Has there ever been a song with a christian message or theme in the contest?

The opposite has been allowed with Ireland last year and even a song singin El Diablo so then they should allow some Jesus praise.

Although it is more likely a parody or irony of christianity won I believe a christian song if good could make an impression on the decadent masses. Here some comedians with the former primeminister singing the sincere and catchy Han har öppnat pärleporten/He has opened the pearly gates.

El Diablo is not a fair comparison because it does not praise evil. El Diablo is just a metaphor for those who don't take everything literally.

We did have a christian message in a song recently, by the way.

BTW Judas was not only the name of the apostle who betrayed Jesus it was also the name of Jesus halfbrother or cousin. So not all Judas are anti Jesus.

Thankyou for the swiss example. Many christian songs are a bit mediocre or boring but some of the most grand and great music are christian hymns like Jerusalem and Jesus bleibet meine Freude.

btw. The title is "Jesu bleibet meine Freude". This is an old form of conjugating it, here it's important to match the syllables with the melody.

Yeah, Austria 1993 and Croatia 1999. They're both about Mary Magdeline.

Both of them are pretty good, actually.
