So when are we getting the news about this being revamped into a country-tinged hyper-pop track? Cos I really wouldn't be surprised... The song is the only thing that feels pretty much bang on what it should be (even if it does have that "been there, done that" sound, it's in a pleasant way and not an eye-roll, thank you next way!)

Maybe they bring in three guys in torn jeans yelling "LU! LU! LU!" just to make it a bit more Finnish.

I think that it's time I should understand that Denmark will always give this kind of songs...

The outfit at the concert the other day didn't exactly convince me that she's on the right track again after the bad staging and styling at the NF. A jacket and some naked thighs right below it - I don't know why she believes her legs are so great to watch (they are not!).

She looked really nice and mature in that white fluffy sweater in the pre-show live video, so it's sad that she's now on the level of Malta when it comes to styling.

There is no bodyshaming in it.

Criticizing nakedness isn't bodyshaming.
That's not what you were doing.
If you had an issue with "nakedness", you would have said you wished she would cover up a bit.

You specifically shamed her body with how you wrote your comment.

I agree with you that it doesn't hurt for the women in the contest to stop displaying their bodies more and more with every year.
But Sissal is basically wearing a gym suit, which you can see at any gymnastics event.
I had a much bigger issue with Chanel performing in a G-string, or Raiven in her completely sheer bodysuit last year.

The difference between our approach is that my criticism is based on their outfit (something they can easily change), not what their bodies look like.

I thought the performance in the NF was dull and she seemed a very wooden performer. Not convinced this is a package that can qualify

If a contestant in a competition about taste explicitly and repeatedly highlights a particular asset as part of his or her branding, then we as "observers" are justified in commenting on this prioritization.

If it had to do with characteristics that were not emphasized by the competitor, it would have been a different matter.

Why wouldn't her legs be great to watch? Care to explain more?

It's a music competition. Comment on the music, her singing, the staging, the outfit.

The woman has legs. What do you expect her to do? Saw them off?

Just accept that you made a misstep and move forward doing better.
