Not necessarily a participant but Australia will be represented in this year's Eurovision by Jessica Mauboy! Thoughts?

Thoughts?

Life is unfair! There are countries who are dying to participate and can't (like Australia). And there are countries who could participate but don't, because they don't care (looking at you Czech Republic...)... T()

But those countries are also in the broadcasting area, which allows them to enter. Australia only has associate membership

Imagine if Australia was competing and won! It would be a logistic nightmare for all the countries having to travel there, and more difficult for more countries to participate as the expenses would rise even more, it would be the same as if the US or China joined

I am against that Australia is going to take part in ESC. Later, US also will be interested in participating then New-Zealand. It is getting more and more commercial.

Personally I think I'd have preferred someone more original but she's the most famous person in this year's Eurovision  Maybe Delta Goodrem with something like this

Yes! Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan increasingly appear in more maps and lists about Europe. :D And Israel, like Kazakhstan, takes part in every European competition...

Imagine the movements if Australia wins Eurovision... I think it's a great idea to invite them. Other years, they can do the same with Canada, USA or China, among others.

Of course it would be a great idea to invite them but not competing for these reasons
