I am not optimistic at all about Andorra...

Like every year, soon we 'll read "Andorra will not return next year" :(

The broadcaster RTVA just announced that Andorra wouldn't be participating next year.

source:

Obviously, it's not really a surprise but after Luxembourg's very surprising comeback all of a sudden and Susanne Georgi's campaign, it would have been nice to get another comeback. But oh well, maybe 2026? :D

Some Eurovision media outlets/fan pages are hinting at a comeback in their headings and captions to generate some clickbait but actually, the news are quite interesting or even promising.

Apparently, TV3 (the Catalan TV channel located and run in Spain) has travelled to Andorra to discuss a potential comeback for Andorra at Eurovision. TV3 organises a Catalan music contest titled "Eufòria" and they would like to see the winner of that contest performing at ESC.

TV3 already collaborated with RTVA when Andorra took place so who knows? - It's not a far-fetched idea.

Of course, there have only been talks so far and therefore, all the "Possible Comeback; Andorra 2026" headline should have been changed to "TV3 executives travelled to Andorra" :D

Maybe some Spanish or Catalan fans could give us more information on that... Has "Eufòria" become a well-estabished contest? Do contestants perform their own songs? If so, such formula for Andorra could be quite successful (to determine an entrant / sharing the costs etc.).

He is the last winner of Eufòria (2024)

The show consisted of 12 nights and the final where the artists sing in both English and Catalan. In this case Lluis won the music competition trophy, a trip to Miami to visit Universal Music, record a new song, a record deal and the song for the summer for TV3 and Catalunya Radio.

Thank you! So they're not performing original music on that show? So it's more like a talent show/x-factor/the voice-like thing on which contestants have to perform covers?

I would have enjoyed the last song more if Sanchez wouldn't have opted for all these vocoder effects.
