I think has a rock ballad, I don't think it has pop inside. Just my opinion, I suck in categorizing songs! I was thinking today about the Icelandic entry, in which genre I'd put it, and I couldn't think! I guess it's a folk pop-rock ballad. I get some rock influence from it.

Iceland: Gréta Salóme & Jónsi - Never Forget

Genre: Folk pop. "Never Forget" is a powerful, symphonic ballad with an epic touch. Song meaning: The Icelandic entry tells a story about two lovers who used to be together in the past, but due to the memories they still treasure about each other, the links between them remain somehow unbroken.

Germany: Roman Lob - Standing Still

Genre: Piano pop. "Standing Still" is a midtempo ballad. Song meaning: The song is about a guy who is standing still as his girl left him. The guy is freed as he is stronger than ever after he broke up. The song tells us that he knows that he will not become anymore closer to his former love.

Slovakia: Max Jason Mai - Don't Close Your Eyes

Genre & Song meaning: "Don’t Close Your Eyes" is a rocky entry about a heart broken person. There is a plea in the lyrics of the Slovak entry to the Eurovision Song Contest.

Thanks for your opinion. Well, I put pop-rock because I find it very radio-friendly. It is a rock ballad indeed (I will avoid the term "ballad" because it's not a music genre), but it has mainstream appeal (something different from Slovakia's entry which is purely rock).

Be patient. I need extra time to think about their music genre. Can you help me on that, please?
